Brainstorm Magic s most powerful card-selection spell returns in another Masters set

This makes them the perfect candidates for being one of Magic: The Gathering's all-time favorite creatures

A 2/5 with flying, Cyclonus, the Saboteur connives when it deals combat damage to a player, letting you draw and then discard a card, and if its a nonland card, putting a +1/+1 counter on it

Monoblue decks ditched Jayemdae Tome completely once this bad boy came around, and started moving towards Man-o'-War and Boomerang-style board control to set up enough time for the Ophidian to give them a hand full of cards

Removal spells are critical, too

If your opponent doesn't, then Empyrial Archangel's effect applies and the damage is redirected to it.
