Mashiko Ware: Black Glaze Red Enamel Stacking Moon-shaped Vase Famous Places of Sixty-odd Provinces 東海道品川御殿山ノ不二This vase is named Stacking Shaped Vase as it is constructed by stacking moon shaped forms, expressing the image of the moon in a conical shape. Red enamel is swiftly applied with a brush over the black glaze in a rhythmic manner, which has become one of artist's representative techniques. This piece can be enjoyed both as a flower vase and as an art object.
